Fossils. If you think they're a dry and dusty subject that only palaeontologist and university professors would be interested in, you haven't experienced the incredible Riversleigh Fossil Museum and Tourist Information Centre in Mount Isa.

It's exciting, it's exotic and it's like nothing else you've ever seen. Inside the centre's state-of-the-art museum, video displays, dioramas and animatronics bring the world alive in a colourful way, while proper scientific displays of fossils give an accurate look at what remains of that ancient world.

The centre is open from 9.00am to 4.30pm on weekdays, and 9.00am to 2.00pm weekends and public holidays.
