For more than 12 years Sunlover Cruises has been helping people from around the world to enjoy the breathtaking wonders of Australia's Great Barrier Reef.

Sunlover Cruises started operating in March 1991 with just seven staff and two vessels. Later that year, the company launched a viewing pontoon which was towed out and placed in position at the Outer Reef.

This was an initiative to allow visitors a richer experience but with no impact on the reef itself. The pontoon has allowed people to maximise their visit to the Great Barrier Reef with guided or unguided snorkelling expeditions, semi-submersible and glass bottom boat tours, a marine touch tank and an underwater theatre to view feeding fish. Sunlover Cruises now has 100 staff and operates luxury day cruises to the outer edge of the Great Barrier Reef by fast, modern catamarans departing Cairns and Palm Cove daily.
