Location: Alex Wilkie Nature Reserve is located in Mackay Street, Springvale South.
Alex Wilkie Nature Reserve is home to some of the most unique flora and fauna in the region, giving visitors a snapshot of the vegetation that existed in the area before European settlement.
Given that the reserve is such a valuable educational and cultural resource, it’s no wonder over 3,200 people flock there each year!
A ranger is on hand to give you a guided tour or you can explore the area yourself along the 35 minute nature trail that will take you through some magnificent vegetation. You can also tackle the unique “sense trail” that encourages you to explore the area using touch and smell – ideal for school or educational groups.
